Colour-printed, hand-finished stopple engraving entitled 'Bengale Thé hyménée, engraved by Victor (fl.1820-1850) after an original by Pierre Joseph Redouté (1759-1840). From P.J. Redouté's Choix des plus belle fleurs published in parts (each part with four plates) in Paris between 1827 and 1833. The publication contains 144 colour plates of flowers with some including insects and is dedicated to the Princesses Louise and Marie d'Orléans.
This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
