Watercolour and pencil on paper of Paeonia emodi by Lilian Snelling. Snelling worked as a botanical artist at the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh from 1916 to 1921. She provided the illustrations for many books including 'A Supplement to Elwes' Monograph of Genus Lilium' (1933-40) as well as for Curtis's Botanical Magazine from 1922-52.
This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
