Baltusrol Golf Club is located in Springfield, N.J., and was designed by A.W. Tillinghast. The course opened in 1895 and hosted the first U.S. Women's Amateur Championship. The course hosted several championships over the next century, including seven U.S. Opens. It is the site where Phil Mickelson won the PGA Championship in 2005. This image, taken by Golf Digest Senior Staff Photographer Stephen Szurlej, shows sunlight cutting across the green at the fourth hole. The lower course is ranked No. 44 on Golf Digest's 100 Greatest Golf Courses 2007-08.
