This product is reproduced from a vintage publication print. In an effort to maintain the artistic accuracy of the original image, this final product has not been retouched. This stretched canvas print is the result of sophisticated digital printing technology in which the image is printed directly onto an artist-grade, 100% cotton canvas. The canvas is then expertly stretched around 1.5" wooden bars and carefully finished with hand-painted edges. An acrylic coating protects the stunning giclee print from dust, moisture and fading. Watermark will not appear on finished product.

About the Art

Norman Rockwell (1894 – 1978), one of America’s most beloved artists, left a timeless legacy of nostalgic, endearing, whimsical paintings that appealingly and insightfully depict simple, and often idyllic, scenes from daily life. After illustrating a series of children’s books at age 16, Rockwell was hired to be the art director of “Boys’ Life,” the official publication of the Boy Scouts of America. Six years later, he sold his first cover to the most prestigious magazine of the era, the “Saturday Evening Post.” Over the next 47 years, he created 321 covers for the “Post,” which became synonymous with his name. He later worked for “Look” magazine, addressing more serious issues of civil rights, poverty and space exploration.

      Comments:

I collect art of different artists simply because I love art. Art such as this inspire me.I love to show them to family and friends. Mr. Rockwell's works were the first I fell in love with when I was a young man. There is nothing of his that I dislike.I wish I had a small amount of this man's talent.Thank you for making his works available to folks like myself.
