Josef Fennekker was Germany’s most important stage designer in the 20s and 30s, as well as a noteworthy film and opera poster designer. Besides his theater work, Fenneker was directly involved in creating the fantastical fairy tale art for Berlin’s Luna Park and applied his graphic art and illustration knowledge to art magazines and books.
