Known for quirky three dimensional art and affixing objects, such as tools, rope, shoes, neckties, articles of clothing, and even a bathroom sink, to his canvases. Dine is best known for his sketchy drawings and prints. A popular guest lecturer at Yale and Cornell, Dine was given solo shows in London museums. Both the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Museum of Modern Art have presented retrospectives of his works.
