One of the film industry’s most prominent illustrators, Italian artist Renato Casaro has created iconic movie posters for more than 40 years. Extremely realistic and photographically exact, Casaro’s posters have an artistic flair that has never been tainted by commercialism. Casaro first experienced international success with his poster for Dino De Laurentiis’ “The Bible,” which was turned into Sunset Boulevard’s first billboard. His more than 800 movie posters, sketches and drawings include work for “A Fistful of Dollars,” “Dances with Wolves” and “Casablanca.” Casaro has also painted a lifelike series of African wildlife images called “African Impressions.”
