About the Art
Mitch Diamond’s exceptional photographs of majestic mountaintops, mystical architecture, vast desert roads and exotic wildlife belie the perilous life he leads—and loves. An adventurous stock photographer who also shoots for National Geographic, Diamond has hitchhiked through Australia’s Outback; flown in a two-seater airplane through sudden, dangerous climate changes to photograph the 20,000-foot Mt. McKinley; and was teargassed during a riot in Zambia, Africa. During his precarious journeys, he has had food, water, clothing and vital contact information stolen. Diamond’s death-defying work allows viewers worldwide to safely relive his exhilarating experiences.
