Jackson Pollock (1912 – 1956), the pioneer of Abstract Expressionism, challenged the artistic tradition of using an easel and brush by pouring and dripping paint onto canvases. His groundbreaking works had a childlike quality which belied their stunning complexity and sophistication. Driven by inner torment which compelled him to paint, Pollock attached large canvases to the floor, densely pouring, dripping and flinging paint embedded with sand or glass onto them with intense physical movement. Influenced by Picasso, Miró, and the Surrealists, Pollock also revolutionized a style of painting in which the work has no identifiable parts or point of emphasis, and is painted with a stream-of-consciousness technique called psychic automatism.

I bought the smallest size of this picture, so all of these comments are specific to that.
My only negative comment is that this picture was slightly too big for the frame that was the correct, advertised size. I trimmed the edges a bit to get it to fit and it looks fine. It was also shipped rolled up so needed to be pressed flat for a few days with heavy books.
On the plus side, the white border makes it look like it's already matted, so all I needed to do to hang it was put it in a black frame. It's a poster quality print, but that's as advertised.
I put the picture in a hallway where it fits perfectly in a small space and will coordinate with almost any decor because of the colors. It's also very reasonably priced! I'm very happy with the purchase.
