Vincent Van Gogh (1853 – 1890) was a Dutch post-Impressionist Master whose innovative artwork powerfully influenced modern Expressionism, Fauvism, and early abstraction. Astoundingly prolific, Van Gogh produced all of his work during a 10-year period, at one point, creating 150 paintings and drawings within one year. Painting outdoors, Van Gogh uniquely captured the nighttime nuances of light and shadow, and was also renowned for his paintings of sunflowers and irises. Tormented by mental illness for most of his life, Van Gogh created many of his masterpieces while he was institutionalized. Although Van Gogh only sold one painting during his lifetime, he is now regarded as one of the most profoundly influential artists of the 19th century.

i used chat before purchasing this print to check there was no border as I wanted the print straight up to the frame I was told where to select and I didn't select a border, I double checked and was reassured I could have without a border. It came with a border so not how I wanted this print.

I saw this picture on line and there was a bright vibrant yellow painted at the top of the picture, when I received it I was very disappointed. The area that was shown as yellow was painted orange. This took away from the picture giving it a darker appearance. The yellow made the picture pop, made it vibrant and beautiful.

I chose the Giclee print and I was pleased with the vibrant colours, which were true to the appearance on the website. I was also pleasantly supprised by the level of detail which with the matt finish gives some illusion of an oil painting. However, I still thought it a little bit expensive.
