Ruth Franks’ Italian tiles blossom with richly colored, ornate designs that could grace the chateaus of royalty. Her florals continue the theme with opulent coloring accented by intricate borders. After earning an advertising art degree, Franks worked as a designer for both Bank of America and Blue Cross. She also designed toys and packaging. Before she was drawn to fine arts, Franks produced souvenir products with her husband and created medical illustrations, computer packaging, EPA murals and botanical illustrations. She has crafted artwork for Las Vegas hotels and casinos, and for gifts and home-décor items. In addition, Franks' work is represented in numerous esteemed galleries.
