The Artist
In joyful rebellion against conventional painting methods, Spanish Surrealist Joan Miro’s art exudes an uninhibited childlike freedom of expression. Drawing inspiration from 1920’s Paris’ counterculture, his art is filled with wonderful absurdity. Miro’s use of primary and secondary colors as well as organic shapes conveys a lively, energetic zest for life – a playground of the artist’s subconscious mind.

Very happy
The paper and print are excellent quality, in general. Everything about it appears like a good lithograph. The only complaint, if it is even a complaint, is that the solid colors (yellow and green, for example) have very definite lines where the color ends. If someone were painting this, the lines would not be so definite. Nothing else on the print is like that, so it may be some method I am not aware of. I still love it, and I would not give it back if I had the chance.
