In her fairy tale and nursery rhyme paintings Zelda created riotously colorful worlds, sometimes unstable but full of drama and pageantry. Her compositions are reminiscent of stage sets upon which dancers float above the earth. Puppeufee was painted for her grandson, Tim, in about 194647. It may depict a French fairy tale about dolls on a carousel who dance. Original: 11 12" x 18 14"
