Zelda made a series of Biblical paintings for her grandson, Tim, as part of a portfolio she inscribed with his name. In the last decade of her life Zelda became intensely religious and her faith brought her some peace. This gouache depicts a householder (Matthew 21, 33-46) who planted a vineyard, built a stone tower and hired husbandmen to work in it. The wicked husbandmen, hoping to keep more than their due, killed the householder's son when he came to collect his crop. Original: 17" x 22" This art print displays sharp, vivid images with a high degree of color accuracy on paper similar to that of a postcard or greeting card. A member of the versatile family of art prints, this high-quality reproduction represents the best of both worlds: quality and affordability.
