About This Piece
The Art
This giclée print delivers a vivid image with maximum color accuracy and exceptional resolution. The standard for museums and galleries around the world, giclée is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are “sprayed” onto high-quality paper. With the great degree of detail and smooth transitions of color gradients, giclée prints appear much more realistic than other reproduction prints. The high-quality paper (235 gsm) is acid free with a smooth surface.

Very Nice Piece, Was Just Hoping For More
First, let me say that I have loved this piece of art ever since I came across it - a wonderful abstract expression, with amazing colors - it was just a matter of finding the appropriate medium for me to display it on. Thinking that it (at the very least) had the potential to coordinate with another, somewhat similar canvas print I had previously purchased from a different retailer, I thought that I would pursue the same route for "This Year's Love," as well. That being said, I do feel as though I am going to like this reproduction very much, now that I have received it and have had a chance to evaluate it in the appropriate space (it will be prominently featured in the living area of a property I am designing along the coast). The artwork was printed very well upon the canvas (nice, crisp edges and the colors are as seen within the picture on this site), it was wrapped tightly/neatly upon a high quality frame (mounting hardware was already attached and the canvas ready to hang), and proper concern had been given to protecting it from damage, by virtue of its packaging. At the same time, though, I have been left a little disappointed, as I was really hoping that the artwork would have been produced much more similarly to the other piece I had purchased, as aforesaid. More particularly, even though the piece from Art.com features a frame-wrapped canvas (as was indicated when I purchased it), the actual wrapped edges of the canvas are solid black. Based upon what was shown online, I would have expected these edges to have been solid white, at worst, and to have contained portions of the actual abstract, at best (a true color wrap). Furthermore, I would have liked to have seen the artwork protected in a manner that would have given it the texture and appearance of a hand-painted canvas, especially when considering the cost involved. The abstract I purchased from the other retailer was part of an Artisan Collection that had been wrapped and finished in such a manner, giving it incredible depth, dimension, and texture, and an even greater appearance/impression of being an expensive, and extremely high quality, piece of art, despite the price in which I paid for it. If this particular piece from Art.com also exhibited such characteristics, I would be ecstatic with my purchase and would not hesitate to rate it a "5". However, as nice as I still find the piece to be, the lack of such features definitely leaves something to be desired in my mind, as I truly feel I have an idea of what it could have been/can be. Ultimately, I would still recommend the piece to someone looking to make a similar purchase and would also recommend Art.com to someone who has never purchased anything through them, as I have always been pleased with the products I have received, as well as with my overall purchase/customer experience.
