In this composite image by photographers from the National Air and Space Museum is two of the firsts in human flight. Within the gold visor of an Apollo 11 spacesuit is a reflection of the 1903 Wright Flyer which was the world's first successful flight of a powered heavier-than-air flying machine. At the other extreme is the spacesuit worn by an Apollo 11 astronaut which became the first mission that landed a man on the moon. This stretched canvas print is the result of sophisticated digital printing technology in which the image is printed directly onto an artist-grade, 100% cotton canvas. The canvas is then expertly stretched around 1.5" wooden bars and carefully finished with hand-painted edges. An acrylic coating protects the stunning giclee print from dust, moisture and fading. Watermark will not appear on finished product.
