About This Piece
The Art
This giclee print offers beautiful color accuracy on a highquality paper gsm that is a great option for framing with its smooth acid free surface Giclee French for to spray is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the papers surface creating natural color transitions

This giclée print delivers a vivid image with maximum color accuracy and exceptional resolution. The standard for museums and galleries around the world, giclée is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are “sprayed” onto high-quality paper. With the great degree of detail and smooth transitions of color gradients, giclée prints appear much more realistic than other reproduction prints. The high-quality paper (235 gsm) is acid free with a smooth surface.

The Artist
Albert Herbert's (b.1925) art is simple and direct. He takes Bible stories and tries to make them meaningful for a modern audience. There is wildness in his use of paint and an apparent naivety in his symbolism but these works also have great subtlety and depth. Sister Wendy Beckett, who has written extensively about Herbert's paintings and etchings, has called him "a religious painter of genius, his biblical images thrusting their way onto canvas or paper almost against his volition."
