About This Piece
The Art
Beautiful Healthy oil on canvas Lomax Cathy Contemporary Artist Private Collection The Bridgeman Art Library

This giclée print delivers a vivid image with maximum color accuracy and exceptional resolution. The standard for museums and galleries around the world, giclée is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are “sprayed” onto high-quality paper. With the great degree of detail and smooth transitions of color gradients, giclée prints appear much more realistic than other reproduction prints. The high-quality paper (235 gsm) is acid free with a smooth surface.

The Artist
Cathy Lomax was born in 1963 in Croydon and lives and works in London. She completed an MA in Fine Art at Central St Martins, London in 2003 and went on to set up Transition Gallery and the art magazines, Arty and Garageland. Her work usually takes the form of groups of paintings and examines a curious contemporary longing for something unobtainable, often focusing on female archetypes and utilising images from popular culture. She has exhibited widely both nationally and internationally and her work is in several high profile collections including the David Roberts collection. In 2009 she was selected for the Salon 09 exhibition in London. Other recent exhibitions include The Golden Record at Collective Gallery, Edinburgh and New London School at Mark Moore Gallery, LA, USA.
