Electron flow Computer model of electron flow in a dimensional electrical landscape The pattern observed depends upon both the initial conditions and the electric potential The colours show the angle at which the electrons left the start point The branching is caused by the electric potential which can be considered to be a bumpy landscape The colours show that certain angles orange and yellow form only a few branches whereas the red and green angles form many branches This confirms observations that the initial conditions and not the landscape determine the pattern This is a feature of random chaotic systems This model was created as an artwork by Professor Eric Heller
