This image was made using an IMAX cine camera on board Shuttle Discovery during Mission STS-63 in February 1995. Discovery made a close rendezvous with the space station in a rehersal for the first Shuttle docking with Mir on Mission STS-71 of June 1995. STS-71 is the first US-Russian manned mission since Apollo-Soyuz of 1975, and is America's 100th manned space mission.
