Frau im Mond. Artwork of a Moon rocket, representing the story told in the film Woman in the Moon (German: Frau im Mond). This science fiction silent film, released in 1929, was written and directed by the Austrian film-maker Fritz Lang, based on a novel by his wife. It was one of the earliest science fiction films, and brought the concept of rocket travel to the public. The film was not a success at the box office. One of the film's consultants was the German rocket pioneer Hermann Oberth. This photographic print is digitally printed on archival photographic paper resulting in vivid, pure color and exceptional detail that is suitable for museum or gallery display.
