About This Piece
The Art
This giclee print offers beautiful color accuracy on a highquality paper gsm that is a great option for framing with its smooth acid free surface Giclee French for to spray is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the papers surface creating natural color transitions

This giclée print delivers a vivid image with maximum color accuracy and exceptional resolution. The standard for museums and galleries around the world, giclée is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are “sprayed” onto high-quality paper. With the great degree of detail and smooth transitions of color gradients, giclée prints appear much more realistic than other reproduction prints. The high-quality paper (235 gsm) is acid free with a smooth surface.

The Artist
Samuel John Peploe (1871-1935) was born in Edinburgh. After leaving the Royal Scottish Academy, Peploe went to Paris with fellow artist Robert Brough where he studied at the Academie Julie and the Atelier Colarossi. Peploe was a leading member of a group of Glasgow artists who became known as the 'Scottish Colourists'. The colourists were influenced by the work of contemporary French artists and by the Post-impressionists in particular, Cezanne, Van Gogh and Gauguin. His use and understanding of light and colour are to be seen in the many still life, land and seascape paintings left by him.
