About This Piece
The Art
This giclee print offers beautiful color accuracy on a highquality paper gsm that is a great option for framing with its smooth acid free surface Giclee French for to spray is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the papers surface creating natural color transitions

This giclée print delivers a vivid image with maximum color accuracy and exceptional resolution. The standard for museums and galleries around the world, giclée is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are “sprayed” onto high-quality paper. With the great degree of detail and smooth transitions of color gradients, giclée prints appear much more realistic than other reproduction prints. The high-quality paper (235 gsm) is acid free with a smooth surface.

The Artist
Born in Penzance, the son of a bank manager, Harold Harvey (1874-1941) is the only Newlyn artist who was born in the area. Harvey studied under Norman Garstin and later went to the Atelier Julien in Paris. Harvey was a painter of figures in landscapes and interior scenes and he developed a particularly informal style. His interior scenes were painted in a style somewhat similar to that of the Dutch Old Masters, in whom he was particularly interested, and are today seen as some of his best work. His early work is very reminiscent of the work of Stanhope Forbes.
