'Hercules Killing the Lion', 1913. Cosimo Tura (c1430-1495), also known as Il Cosmè or Cosmè Tura, was an Italian early-Renaissance (or Quattrocento) painter and considered one of the founders of the School of Ferrara. A print from The Art of the Great Masters, by Frederic Lees, Sampson Low, Marston and Co, London, 1913. This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
