'Admiral Sir Horatio Nelson', 1798-1799, (c1920). Portrait of Nelson after his victory at the Battle of the Nile. One of Britain's greatest military figures, Admiral Nelson (1758-1805) was the victor at a number of naval battles in the Napoleonic Wars, including the Battle of the Nile (1798), Copenhagen (1801) and most famously, Trafalgar (1805) where he was fatally wounded. Illustration from Story of the British Nation, Volume III, Walter Hutchinson, (London, c1920s). This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
