Prince William Henry as a midshipman on board the 'Prince George', (1831). The future King William IV (1765-1837) was the third son of King George III. He joined the Royal Navy as a midshipman at the age of thirteen and retired from the ervice in 1790 with the rank of Rear-Admiral. He came to the throne in 1830 when his eldest brother, King George IV, died. This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
