James Bruce, Scottish traveller and travel writer, (1870). Bruce (1730-1794) travelled extensively in the Levant and Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia, publishing his Travels to Discover the Source of the Nile in the Years 1768-73 in 1790. An engraving from Robert Chambers' A Biographical Dictionary of Eminent Scotsmen, Blackie and Son, (Glasgow, Edinburgh, and London, 1870). This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
