King Egbert of Wessex, first king of all England. Egbert (c770-839) ruled Wessex from 802. His reign saw Wessex overtake Mercia as the dominant Anglo-Saxon kingdom and as a consequence he is regarded as the first King of England although the title was not used until the reign of his grandson, Alfred the Great. This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
