About This Piece
The Art
Break of Gauge at Gloucester Gloucestershire th June Plate taken from the Illustrated London News June showing passengers and luggage being transferred from broad gauge to narrow gauge carriages at Gloucester station on their way to Birmingham Narrow gauge became the uniform railway line gauge nationally Isambard Kingdom Brunel the engineer of the Great Western Railway GWR had laid broad gauge track meaning that passengers on the GWR had to be transferred to trains that ran on narrow gauge where necessary

This giclée print delivers a vivid image with maximum color accuracy and exceptional resolution. The standard for museums and galleries around the world, giclée is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are “sprayed” onto high-quality paper. With the great degree of detail and smooth transitions of color gradients, giclée prints appear much more realistic than other reproduction prints. The high-quality paper (235 gsm) is acid free with a smooth surface.
