Goethe, German poet, 19th century (1956). Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832) was a novelist, dramatist, poet, humanist, scientist, philosopher, and for ten years chief minister of state at Weimar. He is best known for his dramatic poem Faust, completed in 1832. A print from People, a volume about the origin and early history of many things, common and less common, essential and inessential, by Readers Union, the Grosvenor Press, London, 1956. This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
