Captain Boyton's voyage across the Channel, 1875. An Irish-born American showman and adventurer, Paul Boyton became known as 'the Fearless Frogman' for his exploits in long-distance open-water swimming. In 1875 he crossed the English Channel wearing a rubber suit that functioned like a kayak. A print from The Illustrated London News, 17th April 1875. This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
