Frederick III (1831-1888), Emperor of Germany, 1870. Frederick married Queen Victoria's eldest daughter Victoria in 1858. Cartoon from Vanity Fair, London, 1870, the year Frederick was made a field marshal and the year before he became Crown Prince of Germany. He became Emperor in 1888, but only ruled for 99 days before dying from throat cancer. This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
