King James II at the Abbey of La Trappe, France. After he was deposed in the Glorious Revolution of 1688, James II went into exile in France, where he was welcomed by Louis XIV. After his unsuccessful expedition to Ireland in 1689-1690 James returned to France again, where he remained until his death in 1701. A print from Cassell's Illustrated History of England.
This giclée print delivers a vivid image with maximum color accuracy and exceptional resolution. The standard for museums and galleries around the world, giclée is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are “sprayed” onto high-quality paper. With the great degree of detail and smooth transitions of color gradients, giclée prints appear much more realistic than other reproduction prints. The high-quality paper (235 gsm) is acid free with a smooth surface.
