'Execution of Lady Jane Grey', 1554, (c1850). Jane was proclaimed queen on Edward VI's death in 1553 in an attempt to secure a Protestant succession. Only a few days later Mary claimed the throne and Jane was executed, at the age of 16, on Tower Hill on 12 February 1554. This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
