RMS 'Olympic', White Star Line ocean liner, 1911-1912. 'Olympic' was the first of her class of ocean liners built for the White Star Line, which also included the ill-fated liners 'Titanic' and 'Britannic'. Unlike her sisters, Olympic served a long and illustrious career (1911 to 1935), and came to be known as Old Reliable. From Penrose's Pictorial Annual 1911-1912, The Process Year Book, volume 17, edited by William Gamble and published by AW Penrose (London, 1911-1912). This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
