Nikolai Rubinstein, Russian pianist and composer, c1880-c1881. Rubinstein (1835-1881) was the younger brother of Anton Rubinstein, also a pianist and composer. Nikolai founded the Moscow Conservatory in 1866, hiring Peter Tchaikovsky, with whom he was a close friend, to teach there. This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
