Marla Baggetta’s pastels melt and fuse into luminous landscapes of muted shapes and enchanted colors. Born in Buffalo, New York, Baggetta was smitten with the beauty of rural landscapes when she moved to Oregon and began painting in pastels. Before becoming a landscape painter, she was a commercial illustrator for clients including Walt Disney, Nissan Motors and Houghton Mifflin Publishing. Baggetta has taught at the Art Center College of Design, Pacific Northwest College of Art and numerous workshops. Her work has been extensively awarded.
