The Artist
The magic of dogs is heartwarmingly captured in Stephen Huneck’s art. Living in Vermont with an extended family of two Black Labs and a Golden Retriever, Huneck carves his work, loving the texture that can only be achieved by hand. A self-taught sculptor who has also worked with antique furniture, Huneck creates beautiful, enduring designs. After suffering from a debilitating illness which required him to relearn everything from walking to writing, he created his largest artwork, a Dog Chapel where people can celebrate the bond they share with their dogs. Huneck’s charming, award-winning art is widely exhibited, and has been featured in countless magazines, books, newspapers and television shows.
