About This Piece
The Art
The four Bristol Jupiter engines of the Imperial Airways liner 'Scylla', c1936 (c1937). Imperial Airways was an early British commercial long distance air travel company, operating from 1924 to 1939. 'Scylla' was a Short L17 Scylla airliner that operated between 1934 and 1940. The Bristol Jupiter was a British nine-cylinder single-row piston radial engine built by the Bristol Aeroplane Company. From Wonders of World Aviation, Vol. 1, by Clarence Winchester. [The Amalgamated Press Ltd, London, c1937]

This giclée print delivers a vivid image with maximum color accuracy and exceptional resolution. The standard for museums and galleries around the world, giclée is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are “sprayed” onto high-quality paper. With the great degree of detail and smooth transitions of color gradients, giclée prints appear much more realistic than other reproduction prints. The high-quality paper (235 gsm) is acid free with a smooth surface.
