'King George II', 1744, (1911). George II (1683-1760) was King of Great Britain and Ireland, from 11 June 1727 until his death. He was the last British monarch born outside Great Britain: born and brought up in northern Germany. From 1727, George exercised little control over British domestic policy, which was largely controlled by the Parliament of Great Britain. Oil on canvas, by Thomas Hudson (1701-1779), an English portrait painter. From The Connoisseur Vol XXX. [Otto Limited, London, 1911]
This giclée print delivers a vivid image with maximum color accuracy and exceptional resolution. The standard for museums and galleries around the world, giclée is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are “sprayed” onto high-quality paper. With the great degree of detail and smooth transitions of color gradients, giclée prints appear much more realistic than other reproduction prints. The high-quality paper (235 gsm) is acid free with a smooth surface.
