About This Piece
The Art
Detail of two galloping riders from the west frieze of the Parthenon, c438-432 BC. Designed by Phidias, the Parthenon frieze adorned the the temple of Athena on the Acropolis in Athens and represents a procession in honour of the Olympian gods. The majority of what survives of the frieze is today in either the British Museum or the Acropolis Museum in Athens. From the British Museum, London.

This photographic print leverages sophisticated digital technology to capture a level of detail that is absolutely stunning. The colors are vivid and pure. The high-quality archival paper, a favorite choice among professional photographers, has a refined luster quality.
