About This Piece
The Art
This giclée print delivers a vivid image with maximum color accuracy and exceptional resolution. The standard for museums and galleries around the world, giclée is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are “sprayed” onto high-quality paper. With the great degree of detail and smooth transitions of color gradients, giclée prints appear much more realistic than other reproduction prints. The high-quality paper (235 gsm) is acid free with a smooth surface.

The Artist
Norman Rockwell (1894 – 1978), one of America’s most beloved artists, left a timeless legacy of nostalgic, endearing, whimsical paintings that appealingly and insightfully depict simple, and often idyllic, scenes from daily life. After illustrating a series of children’s books at age 16, Rockwell was hired to be the art director of “Boys’ Life,” the official publication of the Boy Scouts of America. Six years later, he sold his first cover to the most prestigious magazine of the era, the “Saturday Evening Post.” Over the next 47 years, he created 321 covers for the “Post,” which became synonymous with his name. He later worked for “Look” magazine, addressing more serious issues of civil rights, poverty and space exploration.

The present
The picture was purchased as a Christmas present for my daughter-in -law. I did not receive it . When I called Art.com to let them know I did not get it, they immediately said they would send a replacement by express mail, which they did. I was very impressed with the packaging and quality of the print. I hope my daughter in law likes the gift.
Great Quality Paper
We had received a framed print of this work as a wedding present. After 38 years it was very faded and I wanted to replace it.
Great Picture Quality | Visually Pleasing
It's what caught my attention.
Purchased this print because it was very identical to the courthouse scene when in 1957 my now wife and I applied for our mariage license at a cost of $1.25. The frame was as expected, the mat seemed to be wider than I visualized and the print was smaller. Regardless, we are happy. The non-reflective print cover however does not live up to expectations. You need to address that problem.
