A National Geographic staff photographer for 20 years, Jodi Cobb has worked in 50 countries, using her camera as a key to enter closed worlds. Cobb was the first woman to be named White House Photographer of the Year, the first photographer to enter Bedouin homes, the first to document the hidden lives of Saudi Arabia’s women, and one of the first to traverse China when it reopened to the West. Cobb primarily shoots the Middle East and Asia, and is best known for her images of geishas. She has lectured at many prestigious venues, and has won numerous esteemed awards.
