John F. Kennedy was the 35th President of the United States of America and was assassinated part-way through his tenure, in 1963. JFK was the youngest President when elected in 1961 and he faced a number of foreign crises during his presidency, including Cuba with the Bay of Pigs and the Cuban missile crisis and in Berlin. He also established the Peace Corp in 1961 and contributed to the nuclear test ban treaty.
