John Wallington was born and educated in and graduated with distinction from the Central School of Art. He studied under Mervyn Peake, Cecil Collins, and Eduard Paolozzi. Since then he has taught at various London Art Schools as well; Washington University in St.Louis; MO and the Gymnasium Sankt Christophoros; Werne AD Lippe NRW in West Germany. John was art editor of Transactions Magazine out of Rutgers University, NJ before returning to Britain to teach Typograghy and Design at Keil School, Dumbarton. He went to live in Orkney in 1988 and continued creating the lively, individualand interesting work you see here today.
