About This Piece
The Art
'William, Duke of Cumberland', 1790. Prince William Augustus, Duke of Cumberland (1721-1765), son of George II of Great Britain and Caroline of Ansbach. He was Duke of Cumberland from 1726. He is best remembered for his role in putting down the Jacobite Rising at the Battle of Culloden in 1746. From The History of England, by David Hume. [T. Cadell, Edinburgh, 1789]

This giclée print delivers a vivid image with maximum color accuracy and exceptional resolution. The standard for museums and galleries around the world, giclée is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are “sprayed” onto high-quality paper. With the great degree of detail and smooth transitions of color gradients, giclée prints appear much more realistic than other reproduction prints. The high-quality paper (235 gsm) is acid free with a smooth surface.
