Workroom in the Winter Palace, St Petersburg, 1904. Supervised by the Tsarina and the Dowager Empress, dressings and gowns are being produced to be sent to Russians wounded in the Russo-Japanese War (1904-1904). Both treadle and hand-turneed models of sewing machine are being used. From Le Petit Journal. (Paris, 28 February 1904). This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
