Sir Walter Raleigh's house, Youghal, County Cork, Ireland, 1924-1926. After being involved in the suppression of the Desmond Rebellions in Ireland in 1579-1583, Sir Walter Raleigh was given substantial lands in Munster, including the towns of Lismore and Youghal. He had an occasional home in Youghal, and was mayor of the town in 1588-1589. A print from Hutchinson's Britain Beautiful, edited by Walter Hutchinson, volume I, 1924-1926. This giclée print offers beautiful color accuracy on a high-quality paper (235 gsm) that is a great option for framing with its smooth, acid free surface. Giclée (French for “to spray”) is a printing process where millions of ink droplets are sprayed onto the paper’s surface creating natural color transitions.
